Senior Product Manager, Transfer Agent & Corporate Actions (DTC/DRS)
About the role
Senior Product Manager, Transfer Agent & Corporate Actions (DTC/DRS)
Vinyl Equity is building the product layer for regulated securities operations—where correctness isn’t optional and edge cases show up the moment you ship. This role owns the product decisions that turn messy DTC/DRS realities into a self-serve experience that legal, ops, and customers can trust.
The Work
- Own the product mechanics for DTC settlement → DRS processing, including how failures surface, how they’re diagnosed, and how the system guides teams to resolution without guesswork.
- Design and productize corporate actions workflows with a special focus on timing and operational breakpoints (including holiday edges and transaction failure scenarios), so the product behaves correctly under real-world constraints.
- Partner tightly with legal and equity administration to translate requirements into product behavior—clear rules, clear states, and audit-friendly outputs that stand up to scrutiny.
- Build self-serve capabilities that reduce manual handling while preserving compliance (think: the right data, the right validations, and the right “what happens next” experience).
- Drive end-to-end clarity across stakeholders—from workflow definition to release readiness—so the team ships the correct behavior, not just the intended UI.
What You’ll Need
- Experience owning regulated or operationally complex product workflows where correctness, traceability, and failure handling matter.
- Strong product sense for state machines and failure modes—you can reason through what happens when something breaks, not just when everything goes right.
- Proven ability to partner with legal/ops and turn requirements into implementable product behavior (not just documentation).
- Hands-on product execution: you can drive discovery, define the workflow, align stakeholders, and get shipped outcomes.
Even Better If
- You’ve worked on securities operations, transfer agent workflows, DTC/DRS, or corporate actions (or adjacent regulated settlement/clearing domains).
- You’ve built automation or self-serve tooling that reduced manual work without losing compliance coverage.
Who Thrives Here
- You’re at your best when the work is operationally messy—you don’t hide behind abstractions; you map the real breakpoints and design for them.
- You communicate with source-of-truth discipline: you align on outcomes and states, then push decisions through with clarity.
- You can hold regulated ambiguity without drifting—you translate “what must be true” into product behavior that teams can execute confidently.
- You’re comfortable being the person who drives alignment across legal, ops, and product engineering when the path isn’t obvious.
The Team
You’ll work with a small, high-ownership product and engineering group building regulated workflows with real financial-institution partners. Expect direct collaboration, fast iteration, and a bias toward shipping behavior that’s correct in the messy middle—not just in the happy path. This role is based in Mangaluru in-office, with ~20% travel to Chicago.
Comp and Benefits
Compensation is commensurate with experience. The hiring team will share specifics directly. Benefits include a standard set of health and wellbeing offerings, plus support for professional growth.
Non-Traditional Backgrounds
If you’ve built products in fintech, payments, compliance-heavy operations, or other regulated domains—and you enjoy turning edge cases into reliable user experiences—you’ll likely feel at home here.
