About Vinyl Equity
We’re building the next generation of capital-markets infrastructure, starting with a modern, digital-native transfer agent designed for today’s public companies. Vinyl Equity is transforming one of the most legacy-heavy and operationally critical parts of the capital markets by delivering the first API-driven, real-time infrastructure for public companies. Our platform replaces slow, manual processes with secure, automated workflows that help issuers operate faster, more efficiently, and with greater confidence.
The Role
As the Applied AI Lead, you will drive the integration of AI across all teams at Vinyl Equity, transforming our engineering workflows and operational processes into a seamless, automated experience. This is a unique opportunity to join a team that is already leveraging AI daily and to systematize these efforts into a genuine operational advantage.
What You’ll Do
- Lead AI Integration: Take stock of existing AI tools (Claude, CodeRabbit, Sentry Seer) and identify gaps in our engineering workflows to enhance quality and speed.
- Define the Playbook: Establish and standardize the applied AI engineering playbook, ensuring all engineers are fully utilizing our AI tools.
- Drive Automation: Map manual labor hours across Operations, Product, Sales, and Marketing to identify and implement high-leverage AI automation opportunities.
- Enhance Marketing Efforts: Partner with Marketing to build an AI-powered content and campaign engine, improving output without proportional headcount growth.
- Embed AI Across Teams: Work with all departments to integrate AI into their workflows, ensuring every function can leverage AI effectively in their day-to-day operations.
What You’ll Need
- 7+ years in technology, with at least 3 years driving change across an engineering organization.
- Hands-on experience deploying AI/ML tools in a product or operations context.
- Strong technical foundation: Ability to read code, understand API integrations, and evaluate model capabilities.
- Proven track record of measuring and communicating the business impact of technical initiatives.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Even Better If
- You have experience in fintech, regtech, or compliance-heavy industries.
- You are familiar with our tech stack: ReactJS, NextJS, NodeJS, AWS, GitHub.
- You have prior experience building a team or function from scratch.
Who Thrives Here
- You are someone who enjoys collaborating across teams and can navigate complex organizational dynamics.
- You thrive in an environment where AI is not just a tool but a core capability embedded in every function.
- You have a hands-on approach and are comfortable diving into technical details while also influencing strategic decisions.
The Team
You will work closely with a diverse team of engineers, product managers, and marketing professionals, all committed to leveraging technology to redefine capital markets. Our team values collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to excellence.
